666: THE MARK OF THE BEAST

Please, I want you to help me answer a question about 666. Is it a physical or spiritual number?
What does the number signify?

The number is 666. 6 is the number of man. Man was created on the sixth day. Agreed? Genesis 1:26, 31. We shall take that up later. In attempting to answer the question, i will also define the Mark and the Beast. These are the keywords. So
In Galatians 6:17. Paul said that he bore on his body the marks of Jesus Christ.

The Greek word for mark is: Transliteration: stigma. Phonetic: stig'-mah.

Thayer Definition: a mark pricked in or branded upon the body. To ancient oriental usage, slaves and soldiers bore the name or the stamp of their master or commander branded or pricked (cut) into their bodies to indicate what master or general they belonged to, and there were even some devotee's who stamped themselves in this way with the token of their gods
Origin: "from a primary stizo (to "stick", i.e. prick)"

Strong's Definition: From a primary word στίζω stizō (to " stick", that is, prick); a mark incised or punched (for recognition of ownership), that is, (figuratively) scar of service: - mark.

Now, the idea is that of recognition of ownership. To put a seal on something, to have a brand logo on a product. An identification. We belong to God, we are His. Abi? The Holy Spirit is the seal that God has placed on us. Ephesians 4:30. Whosoever has not the Spirit of Christ is none of His. Romans 8:9. Every claim one makes that he or she belongs to Jesus must be predicated on the fact that He has the Spirit of Christ which is the seal or mark of ownership. Remember the angel with the ink horn that was sent by God to seal the elect? See: Eze 9:2-3,11; Rev 7:2-3; 9:4

So just know that mark is a seal of ownership. Whosoever mark you bear, you are His or hers. Now the mark as clearly seen cannot be a physical mark that is seen on Paul's body but it is the presence of the Holy Spirit that in dwells him and work through him. We are God's children because of regeneration not genealogy. The new birth. the born again experience. born of water and of the spirit. that which is born of the spirit is Spirit. Now those born of God do not owe their birth to the will of man; they weren't conceived through human sexual intercourse. John 1:13
The mark of the Beast therefore is the identity, the stigma, the ownership of the Beast.  those owned by the beast have its mark. Now who is the beast? The answer is spread all through the book of Revelation. The devil, Satan is the beast. He is the dragon,  the old serpent.

So how does one take up this mark? Simple. Just like you got the mark of Jesus by new birth. Every unregenerate man carries the mark of the the beast. You belong to Satan until you are born again.

Now, see the wisdom. The number is 6, which is the number of man. It shows that Satan owns some persons. They are under His grip, control. They are His servants and at his service just because they are mere men. But the contrast is this; Whosoever is born of the spirit is Spirit. These are born of God. The first man Adam is a living soul but the last Adam, Christ, is a life giving spirit. This is who we are when we are regenerated. We become a new creature from earthly to heavenly. From carnal to spiritual. So, that's the first part. Understood? It's not just musicians selling themselves out but everyone who has not the mark of Christ has the mark of the beast. Even some 'christians' carry the mark of the beast. This is serious! But I'll show you how from the scriptures.

Revelation 13:11 I saw another Beast rising out of the ground. It had two horns like a lamb but sounded like a dragon when it spoke.
Revelation 13:12 It was a puppet of the first Beast, made earth and everyone in it worship the first Beast, which had been healed of its deathblow.
Revelation 13:13 This second Beast worked magical signs, dazzling people by making fire come down from Heaven.
Revelation 13:14 It used the magic it got from the Beast to dupe earth dwellers, getting them to make an image of the Beast that received the deathblow and lived.
Revelation 13:15 It was able to animate the image of the Beast so that it talked, and then arrange that anyone not worshiping the Beast would be killed.
Revelation 13:16 It forced all people, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to have a mark on the right hand or forehead.
Revelation 13:17 Without the mark of the name of the Beast or the number of its name, it was impossible to buy or sell anything. Revelation 13:18 Solve a riddle: Put your heads together and figure out the meaning of the number of the Beast. It's a human number: six hundred sixty-six."

Darling, please follow me closely.
There was the first Beast and now this is the second Beast. Watch out for its characteristics. The beast is Satan. No one has seen him physically. He is a spiritual foe but expresses itself through human. Also, remember that the book of Revelation is a prophetic book and the messages in it are shrouded in symbology. So the meanings are clearer when the message is seen beyond the literal or physical. Remember Jesus said, "the words that I speak to you are spirit...that is spiritual." He said that when he told them to eat his flesh and drink His blood but they didn't understand what He was talking about. So it's the same principle all through. See verse 18 of Revelation 13. it says, " solve the riddle..." Message Bible. The Spirit of God will give you understanding.  Amen!

Now, from the previous scriptures I gave you on sealing, you'll notice that the sealing was done on the forehead of people. What is the forehead? It is the mind, the intellect. The word mind sometimes is interchangeably used as heart. Our minds are renewed day by day through the word of God. Rm 12:2. As a man thinks in is heart or mind so he is. The thinking, the meditation is done in the mind. The reasoning, the decisions are resolved in our minds. The thoughts are in the mind. Out of it flows the issues of life and death. So the scriptures says that we should guard our hearts which is our mind with all diligence. we should keep it from contamination if not it will recieve the imprint of Satan,  the mark or identity of Satan.
So the forehead is the mind and that's where the sealing is done. That's where the mark is recieved. Another scripture says, "casting down every imagination and high thoughts that exalts itself above the knowledge of God" Hmmm! imagination is done in the mind. That's the battle field. That is the ground the devil is fighting to take. He controls us from our mind by suggesting stuffs to us. As we heed it, he takes charge, he gains territory until everything of God in our heart is overthrown.

Now this beast is rising out of the ground, the heart, the mind. This is a very serious issue.
The puppet of the first Beast. A puppet!  have you ever watched puppet shows. Above the stage, the puppet director controls the puppet on the stage with strings of robes tied to the puppet. This is very instructive. Satan is the puppet director. He directs the actions of the puppets, the sinners, the unregenerate man, one that is not born again even carnal believers who doesn't allow the word of God to regulate their lives but allow their feelings and emotions to control them. All these are under the control of the puppet master, Satan. He has strings of suggestions which he ties to a person. Anyone that listens and heed those suggestions begin to act accordingly as Satan dictates or directs.

I hope I have painted a clear picture to you? Is it understood? Satan tells you, "it doesn't really matter... you can be world's most beautiful and celebrated model or musician. Go nude, go wild, use demonic tattoos, blasphemous rylics or wordings in your songs, give to the needy, support charity, donate to churches, go to church but do all these things. It doesn't really matter; you'll get there. At least God will be happy with you that you help the poor, give to churches and go to church." Many have fallen for this and the devil has placed his mark of ownership on them. They are doing his bidding. But that's the extreme. Beside musicians and actors, we also, if we are not careful, we will end up in 'hell'
The devil tells you not to forgive because the person did that hurt to you intentionally and given another opportunity, he might still hurt you. He tells you to keep malice with people and go on speaking in tongues, sing in the worship team and even minister. Husbands and wives are not united but yet they go on preaching, ministering. The puppet master is at work. He has deceived them, he is leading them to destruction. Hell- place of torment, toture. Hell- grave, the place of the dead. So torment will evenly bring death.

So the devil carries out these activities in our minds but we must not listen to the hissing of the serpent. We must not give heed to those lies. They lead us to he'll,  to the grave, to destruction. Be sure that the word of God dwells richly in your heart so that there's no room for Satan.  when he brings is suggestions and manipulation, you'll use the word of God to fight back. ..."They overcame him by the  word of their testimony."

So this beast comes from the ground of our hearts and minds. It has horns like a lamb but spoke like a dragon. Horn is symbolic of authority.  it has horns LIKE but it's not. It only looks like it. It is a counterfeit. Lamb is symbolic of the meek and obedient nature of the saints. We are the sheep of His pastures. Ps 100. In Revelation, the 144,000 are called the Lamb's company. Jesus is the Lamb of God. They followed Him whithersoever He went. They sang the song of Moses. Moses was the meekest man on earth according to scriptures. So, These beast is a counterfeit. This is false religion. It has the form of godliness but lacks the power of righteousness. These are very religious people. We must watch out for ourselves. Horns like Lamb but speaks like the dragon. The dragon is Satan. How does one speak and act like Satan. Whenever we say things that do not represent the mind of God we are echoing the mind of Satan, the dragon. The dragon is a mighty serpent. In revelation 12, the dragon attacked the woman that brought forth the manchild. Water as a flood came out from the dragon's mouth to swallow her. It is the flood of ungodliness, foaming all manner of filth. The chief task of the dragon is to deceive the whole earth according to this scripture. So deception happens in the mind. Abi? He deceives. Let us not allow our minds to mislead and keep deceiving us. Let us always submit to God's word and make it the standard for our lives. Let His word, the word of the Lord guide all our decisions that's only how we can be saved from the dragon, the puppet master, Satan.

Notice, when this false believer. He was true before but the flood fro the mouth of the serpent has swallowed him, he has been deceived, he has fallen but yet he can still perform miracles and wonders. People got deceived because of the miracles and wonders. They can't discern that the man is of the devil. He no longer hears God. He does not obey God anymore in his or her daily life. Such allow themselves to be driven by their desires, their emotion. Theyll rather quit than obey God. He or she does whatever they likes yet the miracles are on. But notice the Lord's verdict.  Men may call it miracles but the Spirit of prophecy calls it MAGIC. In Matt 24. Jesus called it lying wonders. God is not in it. What is magic? check that out for yourself. When a supernatural happening doesn't carry God's approval, it is magic. It is a strong instrument in the hands of the puppet master to deceive people. That's why people are being deceived today. When a man say he is of God but daily in lifestyle he contradicts the very God he professes, this is the beast out of the ground with the horn like Lamb but speaks like the dragon. His words and actions are misleading. The devil has this one has his own, at his service to deceive the whole earth. Oh that I may not be a puppet in the hand of Satan. Amen! I must obey God! I must obey His words, His will, I must follow His directions. Amen!

Now, this beast animated or gave life to the first Beast and caused people to worship the first Beast.  What does that mean? To give life to something is to operate in the principles of the thing. The second beast operated on the principles of the first beast. It promoted the interests of the first Beast and caused others to imbibe same. That's what it means to worship the beast. It killed those who refuse to worship the image of the first Beast.  Image is the nature or character of a thing. Image answers to the name. We will come to that later. To kill is to separate, to have no part with, cut off, destroy. The next verse explains it better. Those without the mark of the beast were not permitted to buy and to sell. The meaning of buying an selling in prophetic language answers to divine transactions of exchange; to give and to take. You can get favours from that beastly system, you can't recieve from it. You've been killed, separated, cut off from it. You can't even give to it. Even if we narrow it down to our day to day living; today you can't amount to anything meaningful politically if you don't 'belong' You have to be in one cult or the other to get a contract, a choice - promotion or appointment. Is it not so? As students, you're forced to 'sort' or 'lay' with a lecturer to pass your exams. The system wants business people to bribe their way through to get deals. It is a whole beastly system. As soon as we submit, yield to these demands, we have automatically recieved the mark, the nature, the identity of the beast.

See Revelation 13:16. People both rich and poor, great and small, free and slave are forced to recieve the mark of the beast on their 'forehead' and their 'hand'. We have said that the forehead is the mind. The hand speaks of our vocations, our work, our ministry. When we give our hearts or minds to the beast, invariably, we subject our 'hand' to him. The principles of the beastly system will exact and exert on the works of our hand. Put in other words, our businesses, careers, ministry, marriages in fact everything we do will bear the mark or character of the beast.
All these is summed up in promoting Satan's interest upon the earth. May this not be our portion in Jesus'mighty name. Amen!

We cannot afford to be Satan's messengers, we cannot afford to sell ourselves to Satan. We must recover lost grounds that the devil has his foothold in our lives. Those characters, behaviours, those thoughts, those imaginations, those choices and decisions that do not have the stamp of heaven, the mark of God,  the nature and character of God, that do not agree with the principles of the word of God; We must judge them, Repent and ask God to forgive us so that we can move on with Him. If we fail to do these, then be sure to know that, we are Satan's property. God forbid!

Lastly, let's solve the puzzle of the mark of the beast which is 666. There have been speculations that Obama-care programme, the Bank Verification Number exercise, the Citizenship biometric identity are all programmes of the antichrist to make it possible to give all people the mark of the beast. It's really funny! They tell you of microchips implanted in humans and all such crab. Listen and hear me well! That literal perspective to this prophecy undermines the truth and real import of the divine message. We have taken our time to define what the mark actually is and who the beast really is and how the mark is recieved. Now let us close by reading Revelation 13:18. It says, "here is wisdom..." The ability to to know and understand what is being said is wisdom.

"Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six."  To get it is simply to count the number, and that gives us 666. It says, it is THE NUMBER OF MAN. So the puzzle has been solved. Man is actually the second Beast from the ground which is the heart and mind. 666 is the trinity of 6. It is man in his utter depravity- spirit dead, cut off from God then the soul where the mind is, is so darkened, perverse, and the body expresses all manner of godless and sensual activities. At this point, such a man is nothing but a beast to say the least. This is a man without God. He mocks and scorn everything that is God. He blasphemes God, He says he doesn't need God to make it to survive. Such is humanism, a study that says that man is the measure of all things. Not so, it is Christ that fills all things and have the preeminence. Hallelujah!
